Great vegan food and helpful and friendly staff. We had guacamole, sweet potato sandwich and roasted squash dish with hummus, which was something different and I enjoyed it very much! For drinks I loved the hibiscus foam. They also have nice desserts and hot chocolate of the region. 10/10 would recommend this place and will be coming back :)

My partner and I did the vegetarian cooking class with Victor after it was recommended by some fellow backpackers, and it did not disappoint! Victor was fantastic - passionate about sharing his culture, great sense of humour and led a well-paced class that never felt rushed. We visited a local market to buy ingredients and got to try lots of local delicacies and some yummy cheese. We then cooked up several veggie dishes, with each person in the group responsible for a different part. We all learned how to make quesadillas and tortillas. Afterwards we sat down as a group to share a meal, and it was delicious. Highly recommend!

We booked the Abastos food market tour through Etnofood. Great way to try some of the local foods in Oaxaca and to see some of the market stalls. Guide was awesome and took us to Dona Vale's memelas on request. Was also v helpful with dietary restrictions for those who couldn't eat dairy or almonds. Tour is a great way to mix with others and try some specific foods that you are likely to only find in the market. Recommended way to spend a long morning!

We took the vegetarian cooking class with Victor and it was one of the best things we did in Oaxaca. It started with a trip to a really sweet little food market with lots of smelling and tasting ingredients, plus really helpful explanations of fruits and vegetables we were less familiar with. We then cooked and ate a delicious lunch together. Book this class!

My friend and I had a wonderful experience in the vegetarian cooking class. We learned a lot! Our trip wouldn't have been the same without taking this class. It is a must if you're visiting Oaxaca. They have different types of classes as well that I'm sure are equally wonderful. Roberto was our teacher and he made the experience extra special. He was very personable, sweet, and fun. It was truly a pleasure to work with him. The amount of fresh authentic food you get to try and cook is well worth the money spent. It was a feast. They give a meaningful tour of a beautiful peaceful market as well. Plus the genuine connections you can make with the various amazing staff during the experience. They're truly special. The price is more than reasonable for it all. There's nothing more we could ask for. Thank you , Oceana & Miguel

An unforgettable culinary experience! As a vegan of several years, visiting this vegan restaurant in Oaxaca was a delightful surprise that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the continuous and warm beauty of the place. The ambiance is simply charming, creating a cozy environment that invites you to relax and savor the food. The kindness of the people working there further enhances the experience. Juan, our server, was exquisite in his attention. I don't know who he is, but he clearly loves what he does, and his passion is reflected in every detail, from his recommendations to his willingness to explain each dish. In addition to offering an exceptional gastronomic experience, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that this vegan restaurant is also a social project. It's inspiring to see how such a wonderful place not only cares about providing delicious vegan food but also positively contributes to the community. As for the food, I tried several dishes, but the chocolates and mezcals stood out especially. The flavors were exquisite, and the presentation was a work of art in itself. The creativity in combining ingredients and the quality of the products used truly showcased the chef's skill and the restaurant's commitment to offering the best. I highly recommend to all food lovers, vegans or not, to visit this place when in Oaxaca. Not only will you enjoy a unique culinary experience, but you will also contribute to a social project worth supporting. This restaurant has left a lasting impression on me, and I'm confident that anyone who visits will also be enchanted. A culinary gem in the heart of Oaxaca!
